I'm exhausted of saying..."I'm exhausted!"

Updated: Mar 18, 2019

I read that phrase in an investigation by the American Health Foundation conducted to women between ages 40 and 55. One woman reported that just beginning the day she already felt extremely exhausted to the point of wanting to sleep all over again.

According to that study, and the explanation obtained by the American Health Foundation: "Every day, we are exposed to toxins ... and our immune system depends on GSH to eliminate them." The ability of GSH to facilitate such detoxification overwhelms the immune and antioxidant defense systems, thus perpetuating the cycle of persistent fatigue, muscle pain skeletal, interruptions of sleep and cognitive and psychological abnormalities. The GSH enzyme system detoxifies at a cellular level ... ". Based on these findings, the important role of Glutathione in the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome was determined - It’s substantial contribution is what promotes the health of our immune system, eliminating toxins that interrupt the synthesis of cellular energy.

Chronic fatigue syndrome implies loss of strength in the immune system or some type of mitochondrial dysfunction. On the other hand, Glutathione protects the mitochondria from chemical and environmental stressors that promote the attack of free radicals against the cell. When the body's natural antioxidant GSH defense system can’t protect the cells in our bodies, we experience fibromyalgia and other pain and fatigue related diseases…

Once again, Glutathione proves to be one of the most important antioxidants in the body and a natural detoxifier, sustaining the energy of our organism for longer periods of time.

There’s not much science to it - by raising our Glutathione levels, our energy also increases and consequently our mood. Good to know! huh?
